Ample Scientific CM304 Nexcope W10/18 mm Eyepiece, 4X10X40X100X Objectives Educational Biological Monocular Rechargeable Microscope Overview

The Ample Scientific CM304 Nexcope biological, portable microscope has a monocular viewing head, a built-in, spiral, 1.25 numerical aperture (NA) Abbe condenser, cordless and rechargeable LED illumination, a mechanical stage, and magnification abilities of 4X, 10X, 40X and 100X (oil immersion method) for a variety of resolvant options. This biological microscope enhances object or image resolution, and its rechargeable LED illumination is commonly used in K-12 classrooms, for research and professional applications in medical and veterinary clinics, universities and in industrial laboratories.

This microscope features a monocular viewing head with fixed 45-degree vertical inclination. Deutsches Institut für Normung (DIN) objective lenses are sealed to prevent contamination from immersion oil. The 10XD widefield eyepiece magnifier locks onto the unit for ease of operation, and provides an 18 mm field diameter. It has cordless, rechargeable LED illumination with a dimmer switch for lighting adjustment, and a 1.25 NA Abbe condenser for high resolution. With one minute of cranking, the built-in generator provides up to one hour of continuous LED illumination. A rectangular mechanical stage provides ease of operation, and has two spring-clip slide holders to hold the specimen in place.

The CM304 Nexcope has an aluminum cast body that resists rigorous use, and all removable parts lock in place for tamper-proof security. The microscope comes with an AC/DC adapter/charger, a dust cover, and a tension control tool.

Microscopes are instruments used to enhance the resolution of an object or image. Types include compound, stereo, or digital. Compound microscopes use a compound optical system with an objective lens and an eyepiece. Stereo microscopes show object depth in a three-dimensional image. Digital microscopes are used to display an image on a monitor, rather than looking through a lens. Microscopes can have monocular (one), binocular (two), or trinocular (three) eyepieces, with varying viewing abilities. A trinocular eyepiece is used to output digital images to an internal or external device such as a camera or monitor. Magnification ability refers to the size of an image. Resolution, also known as resolvant power, refers to the clarity of the image. The interaction between field of view (FOV), numerical aperture (NA), and working distance (WD) determines resolution. Microscopes can control magnification through a fixed focus, or through a range of adjustments. They can also use LED, fluorescent, and mirror light sources to help control viewing capabilities. Microscopes are widely used in education, lab research, biology, metallurgy, engineering, chemistry, manufacturing, and in the medical, forensic science, and veterinary industries.

Ample Scientific LLC manufactures laboratory equipment and supplies such as microscopes and centrifuges. Founded in 2009, and headquartered in Norcross, GA, Ample Scientific offers scientific equipment for research, educational, clinical and industrial applications.
